Game day information for DHL Stormers vs Benetton

The DHL Stormers are back in action at DHL Stadium on Saturday, 26 April 2025, taking on Benetton in a United Rugby Championship clash. The City of Cape Town would like to advise residents and spectators on logistics for game day.
The DHL Stormers’ push to secure a URC play-off spot continues against Italian side Benetton at 18:15 on Saturday.
Gates to the stadium will open at 16:15.
Due to limited parking in the Green Point Precinct, fans are encouraged to park in the CBD, hop on a free MyCiTi shuttle or take the Fan Walk to the stadium.
The free MyCiTi shuttle service will operate exclusively for ticket holders, running from the Civic Centre and Thibault Square stations to the stadium from 15:45.
The last bus post-game will depart the stadium and Green Point Precinct at 22:15.
For spectators taking the bus, parking will be available at the Civic Centre from 10:00.
The parking bays, accessible from Hertzog Boulevard incoming and on Civic Road, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Paid parking is also available at the Parkalot on Jack Craig Street and at the Harbour Arch on Harbour Arch Boulevard.
‘There will be a lot of activity in the city centre and surrounds as it is month end. The Cape Town International Jazz Festival is also taking place at the CTICC on Saturday and this could result in high traffic volumes on roads in the CBD. Rugby spectators are advised to arrive early to avoid the rush. We are working with the event organiser to ensure a safe and smooth experience on the way to the game and at the stadium. We call on the faithful to come in their numbers and show support to the Stormers in their push to make it to the URC playoffs,’ said Alderman JP Smith, the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security.

Road closures
Residents and motorists are advised of temporary road closures in the Green Point Precinct and surrounds on Saturday from the morning until after the game.
This includes Fritz Sonnenberg Road, Helen Suzman at the Green Point Circle and Granger Bay Boulevard.
Spectators are also reminded that the Walter Sisulu Avenue and several other roads around the CTICC will be closed off to traffic due to the Cape Town International Jazz Festival taking place on Friday and Saturday.
